Dudes From Dallas

About Dudes From Dallas

Dudes from Dallas is a podcast that started its existence being based in Dallas, Texas. Since then, we've become a podcast with one dude in California and the other Dude still in Dallas. We're too lazy to change the name of the show, so we're gonna keep it (it's not like we actually say the name of the show that much). The Dudes talk nerd sh*t, news, stuff that pisses them off, news of the day, and the 'xennial' lifestyle.

   Nick Vicious Confesses

Allow us to apologize in advance, this episode has some real life happenings in it, which we hope will help someone out there who may be dealing with a similar situation.  We promise not to make this a regular thing. Also, allow us to apologize for also mocking those real life happenings.  We promise we'll keep doing that, as it's kinda our thing. So with all of that out of the way, let's get to the description, shall we? In this episode, Nick Vicious and Rob Rotten take listeners on an emotional rollercoaster as they navigate the serious and life-altering diagnosis of diabetes. Nick opens up about his recent health scare, revealing the challenges and changes he faces after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. The Dudes discuss the importance of lifestyle adjustments, from diet and exercise to managing stress and anxiety, and the impact these changes have on both physical and mental health. Despite the gravity of the topic, Nick and Rob infuse their signature humor and candidness into the conversation, sharing personal anecdotes and poking fun at their own experiences. Rob, now a registered dudist priest, adds a comedic twist as he dons a priestly shirt, much to Nick's dismay. Together, they explore the balance between dealing with serious health issues and maintaining a sense of humor. The episode also touches on Rob's weight loss journey with semaglutide, shedding light on the challenges and triumphs of managing non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. As they share their personal stories, the Dudes emphasize the importance of taking control of one's health and the value of community support. Join us for an honest and heartfelt discussion that highlights the struggles and successes of dealing with chronic health conditions. Don't miss out on this candid conversation filled with humor, introspection, and a touch of irreverence. Seriously, WTF are people thinking?

In this episode, we dive into the chaotic world of YouTube celebrity Jack Doherty, discussing his reckless behavior and the societal implications of internet fame. Join us as we dissect the viral video of Doherty crashing a $200,000 McLaren and the subsequent fallout. Is Jack a 'trust fund' kid like Rob says, or is he really a self-made multi-millionaire? We explore the broader issues of accountability, the influence of internet personalities, and the societal fascination with sensationalism. We also dive into how entertainment has become lazy, and the possible connection to YouTube stars becoming a thing. Despite what people think, the Dudes are far more interesting people than most would think, we just don't put EVERYTHING we do on the Internet. Hear Nick tell a story about the bomb squad being called out to a building near him and what he decides to do. We wrap it up by talking about something related to the Dallas area, since we are the Dudes from DALLAS ... IndyCar has signed an agreement to hold a Grand Prix on the streets of a Dallas suburb. Maybe the roads in the area will get fixed, making commuters lives better. Don't miss this candid conversation filled with humor, criticism, and a touch of introspection. Join us for a rollercoaster of laughs, rants, and thought-provoking discussions.
