When Jesus is asked which of God’s commandments his the greatest, he responds by revealing that love is the heartbeat of God’s Kingdom. To love God and love others is everything you need to do in order to please God. To love God means surrendering every part of our lives to Him. To love our neighbor means seeing others through God’s eyes and treating them with the same mercy we have received from God. In a world divide by pride and power, this message focuses on Jesus’ teaching that in the end it is love that changes everything. The Red Letters, Week 6: Spiritual Tax Evasion
When the Pharisees ask Jesus whether it is lawful to pay taxes, they are trying to trap him in some kind of political or religious misstep. But Jesus refuses the bait, instead insisting that taxes can be paid without violating one’s loyalties to God. In this message, we address our tendency to try and separate our faith from our daily duties. Often, we pay what we owe the world, while withholding from God what we owe Him: our hearts, our worship, and our obedience. Spiritual tax evasion occurs anytime we give God less than our whole selves. Matthew 22:15-22 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2022%3A15-22&version=NIV)

The Red Letters, Week 5: An Offer You Shouldn’t Refuse
The good news of the gospel is that Jesus invites all of us – including YOU – to enter his eternal Kingdom! It is a wonderful gift of God’s grace to be invited. But, as Jesus cautions, God’s grace isn’t cheap. In the parable of the wedding banquet, Jesus warns us against taking God’s invitation lightly, reminding us that God’s offer of salvation is one we should never refuse. The invitation is sent. You are on the guest list. How will you respond? Based on Matthew 22:1-14 (https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew%2022%3A1-14&version=NIV)
