Go back to a time of blindness and suffering you have ignored.</p><p>2. Pray this prayer daily…</p><p>Father, show me where I am blind. Use whatever means possible so that I can have clear accurate vision for what you are doing around me. I will not run from the suffering that you can use to teach me. I submit to what you want not what I want. Help me to see that this is not about me being able to see you clearly for my own benefit but rather it is for those you love who are separated from you and are suffering because of it.</p><p>3. Recite Luke 9:23-25 daily out loud.</p><p>Then He said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be My follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow Me. 24 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for My sake, you will save it. 25 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but are yourself lost or destroyed? Luke 9:23-25 NLT</p>

<p><strong>Route 66: Summer Road Trips</strong></p><p>Week 7: <strong>The Magi</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Matthew 2:1-3 NIV  </p><p> </p><p>Our trips usually fall into one of two categories: <strong>Business or Personal</strong></p><p>The Magi would have said this trip falls under a 3rd category: <u>Worship</u></p><p> </p><p>Like the Magi, <strong>we</strong> probably would have expected it to end in Jerusalem, but God often uses the <u>little</u> or <u>unexpected </u>to accomplish His plans.                                                                                              </p><p> </p><p>Who were <u>the Magi</u>, that are often referred to as <u>the Wisemen</u>?</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>How did they know about the promised <u>Jewish Messiah</u>?</p><p>Daniel 2:48 NIV</p><p>Matthew 2:4-8 NIV</p><p> </p><p>“The Magi were <strong>seeking</strong> the King; Herod was <strong>opposing</strong> the King; and the Jewish priests were <strong>ignoring</strong> the King.”  -Warren Wiersbe    </p><p>Matthew 2:9-12 NIV                                                                                                  </p><p> </p><p>They Worshipped:</p><p>They gave their presence.                                                                           </p><p>They bowed down.                                                                               </p><p>They brought gifts. </p><p> </p><p><strong>The Wisemen are wise because…</strong></p><ul><li>they know whom they are <u>looking for</u>, Jesus the King of Kings.</li></ul><p>Jeremiah 29:13 NLT</p><ul><li>they <u>don’t give up</u>!  Whether the journey takes months or years,whether the Star is bright or temporally hidden.  They <u>persevere</u> with a faith driven by a God-given passion for Jesus Christ – they don’t stop at Jerusalem…they keep going to Bethlehem.</li></ul><p> 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NIV</p><ul><li>when they encounter Jesus, they <u>worship Him</u>. Not for anything He might do for them, but solely for the honor and glory they might render to God, Who came to earth to save us and now rules and reigns in Heaven and whose Spirit indwells us.  </li></ul><p>Psalm 145:3; 95:6 NIV</p><p> </p><p>Step of Obedience-</p><p>A Magi Quiz:</p><p>1.    How are you daily seeking Jesus?</p><p>2.    What is one thing that’s making it hard to connect with Him that you can remove this week?</p><p>3.    How long has it been since you spent some time really worshipping Jesus?</p>

<p><strong>Route 66: Summer Road Trip </strong></p><p>Week 6: <strong>Bring a Friend!</strong></p><p>Meanwhile, the believers who had been scattered during the persecution after Stephen’s death traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch of Syria. They preached the word of God, <strong>but only to Jews</strong>. However, some of the believerswho went to Antioch from Cyprus and Cyrene <strong>began preaching to the Gentiles</strong>about the Lord Jesus. <strong>The power of the Lord was with them</strong>, and a large number of these Gentiles believed and turned to the Lord. </p><p>Acts 11:19-21 NLT</p><p> </p><p>When the church at Jerusalem heard what had happened, they sent Barnabas to Antioch.  When he arrived and saw this evidence of God’s blessing, he was filled with joy, and he encouraged the believers to stay true to the Lord. Barnabaswas a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and strong in faith. And many people were brought to the Lord. Then Barnabas went on to Tarsus to look for Saul. When he found him, he brought him back to Antioch. Both of them stayed there with the church for a full year, teaching large crowds of people. (It was at Antioch that the believers were first called Christians.) </p><p>Acts 11:22-26 NLT</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>REIGNITED</strong></p><p>Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel.
