<p><strong>Today's Guest</strong></p><p>Edith is a full professor of teaching and learning in higher education with a focus on teacher education at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen in Germany. She studied psychology in Marburg and Berlin and completed her doctorate on the Berlin Evaluation Instrument for self-evaluated student competencies in 2006. She is engaged in several professional associations and is a founding member of the German Society for Higher Education Research. Edith is currently leading two large third-party-funded research projects in teacher education. <h2><strong>EARLI Research Stories #6 Taiga Brahm</strong></h2><p><strong>Today's Guest</strong></p><p>Taiga Brahm is a full Professor of Economic Education at the University of Tübingen in Germany. She studied business education at the Universities of Mainz and Ghent/Belgium and worked as a research assistant at the University of Kaiserslautern. In 2010, she completed her doctorate in the development of team competencies through computer-supported collaborative learning at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. After that, the University of St. Gallen appointed her as an assistant professor for higher education development. She co-founded and led the Competence Center for Educational Development and Research in Higher Education (CEDAR).</p><p>Taiga’s research focuses on the competency development of learners. For instance, she examines how students can cope with transitioning from school to academic studies or vocational training.
