I first start with revisiting childhood memories and exchanges that changed the relationship I had with my culture. From there I see how the internalized shame and loathing influenced my behaviours and where I sought validation from in my formative years into adulthood. Finally, I explain how the recent boom in grassroots media and Asian representation has allowed me to reclaim my identity and become proud of my heritage.</p> <p><br></p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
