Here's a mixtape that I strung together while having one of those weeks myself. Working three jobs had me dog-tired. Technology was on the fritz – and so was my mind! But sharing good music in community does wonders for the soul, even when our bodies feel exhausted. At the end of the day, we're just animals doing our best. In the face of neoliberal capitalist exploitation, remind yourself often: you matter and you are enough.

March Against Madness | Earth Mixtape
Music to energize everybody taking part in No Kings 3.0 (and 4.0 and 5.0 and 6.0+). Millions of people across the United States are rising up against the absurd corruption of the Trump regime, capitalogenic ecocide, and the systems responsible for causing the Sixth Mass Extinction we're living through.
I'm calling this one "March Against Madness." While many people are focused on their basketball brackets, the U.S. government is more than willing to fill barracks with sacrificial soldiers in yet another war frenzy over fossil fuels. Any system that places profits over people and planet is bonkers! That's why the People are rising up, speaking out, and taking action for the sake of their communities and ecosystems.

Black voices have always been at the forefront of justice movements, and through music they teach how social and ecological and political issues intersect. In the spirit of listening, learning, and lifting up, Rusty Loon brings an hour of music by Black artists who emphasize environmental justice, joyful liberation, and rad consciousness raising.
