He sits as an elected hereditary member of the House of Lords and is a partner in the law firm Michelmores, focusing on intellectual property and other complex disputes. In Parliament, Charlie contributed to the Agriculture Act 2020 and the Environment Act 2021, which restructured the nation's relationship with the nature, while at Michelmores he is spearheads the firm's Sustainable Economy work. &nbsp;Charlie also owns and operates the Powderham Estate, near Exeter in Devon, a 700 year old family owned social enterprise, focused on heritage, sustainable land management and agriculture. In the podcast we talk about what it means to be an Earl, but more importantly agricultural practices and climate change and how we can productively protect ecosystems for generations to come.</p>
