Two sisters turned suburban moms "wine it out" on this podcast each week, sipping wine and diving headfirst into life, aging, kids, family, the dogs—honestly, who knows? It could be anything that comes up and distracts them from what they said they were going to talk about.
Take a break with these 40‑something sisters as they overshare, sidetrack, and do their very best to entertain you!
Hazel (age 11) is officially presiding over Episode 5, and honestly… she might be the only adult in the room.
The Sisters have finally migrated into their glamorous new recording location — the closet — and the energy is giving "Narnia, but with wine" vibes. Speaking of which, they almost forgot to talk about the wine. Almost.
While tucked between winter coats and questionable shoe choices, Mel and Sara dive into dreams — not the inspirational kind, the nighttime-chaos-brain kind — and things get weird fast. Like "should we be concerned" weird.
Then, in true Sisters fashion, they accidentally stumble into a new business venture that absolutely no one asked for: Scorpion Water™. Don't worry, they explain…sort of.
Meanwhile, Bryceson gets a frog… sort of. It's complicated. It's slimy. It's very on‑brand.
All this, plus the Sisters remember at the last possible second to swoon over their wine of the week!
Closet studio. Weird dreams. Scorpion beverages. Frog‑adjacent pets. And wine. Obviously.
Don't forget to subscribe and follow — Hazel insists.

Episode 4: Mel's Wine Lounge
This is not a drill. We repeat. NOT. A. DRILL. The Sisters make big decisions in Episode 4. Not only that, but new obsessions are revealed, their favorite wine stores are swooned over, and rooms are reclaimed, which turns out to be more of a journey than Mel might had bargained for. All this and probably more while Mel busts Sara's chops.
Thanks for coming along for the ride-- don't forget to subscribe!
Cheers!

This week's wine: 2022 Substance Cabernet Sauvignon (often called "Cs" like the element)
Made by Wines of Substance (House of Smith) from one of Sara's favorite regions, the Columbia Valley, Washington.
So, what are their favorite local wine stores? The delightful delivery service is offered by Empire Wine (5 Stars!), and the more local favorite with not only helpful but clever staff members, Upstate Wine (also 5 Stars!).

Episode 3: The Work Trip
Are the Sisters any closer to landing a podcast name? Listen to Episode 3 to find out.
The kids keep tracking them down like tiny detectives, so the hunt for a new recording location continues. This time, Sara's daughter Lainey pops in… and then the rest of the crew follows close behind.
They've also got a classic "mom story" about their own mom. So buckle up and maybe you can you relate.
But the real chaos begins when Sara hijacks the episode with her work trip debacle. Will her co-worker Sam, ever travel with Sara again? Hear what happened and let us know what you think over on social media. Follow us on IG @easilydistracted_sisterpodcast

Episode 2: The Neighborhood
What better way to jump into Episode 2, than to brag about your newfound love for suburban life. Trust us — no one was more shocked than the co‑hosts (and sisters) Melanie and Sara.
Never in their wildest dreams… but hey, the suburbs have their perks.
While sippin' on red, the sisters cover a lot of ground:
Ice cream trucks — the true suburban siren song
Scooter club — yes, it's a thing
Siblings — turns out the sisters have more
Alexa — is she running your life too?
Millennial vs. Xennial vs. Gen X — do you know the difference and which are you?
The ladies of moderation try to talk about the neighborhood multiple times… but naturally, they derail, wander, and eventually circle back. Honestly, good for them — and good for you.
And guess who pops in for another surprise visit. You'll have to listen to find out.
Cheers!

Episode 1: The Origin Story
We're kicking off this first episode of Easily Distracted: The Sister Podcast with co-hosts (and sisters turned neighbors), Melanie and Sara giving the run down in "The Origin Story."
Why? -- Why the hell are they making a podcast? How did this podcast idea come to be? It's so much work!
Why don't they have a name in the first episode? Why is it so hard to think of a name? (Want to hear how we landed on "Easily Distracted" check out Episode 3, then definitely Episode 4 [when they come out]!)
What wine are they drinking?
Did they say they have a dragon in the house? (yes, we did!)
Some of these questions we answer…ok only one-- and let's just say this all has a little something to do with an adult jazz dance class (Thanks, Dominique!). Which leads to one last question-- will the Jazz Moms really open the recital?
So if you want to know more, just listen!
