Ryoka is back on her feet, but getting back to work proves a little more complicated. Between Magnolia's influence, Runner politics, and Ryoka's absolute refusal to be pushed around, she manages to do what Ryoka does best: burn some bridges and choose the considerably more dangerous option.
We also pull the camera WAY back and learn a ton about the wider world, its continents, conflicts, history, and some very interesting names and places that we're definitely filing away for later.
And then... Ryoka gets something back that she hasn't had since arriving in this world. Suddenly, running feels like running again.
