Listener discretion is advised. Pretare d'Arquata, Italy. May 1993. A 23-year-old ceramicist named Filiberto Caponi is closing his garage for the night. He hears something near the corner of his house. A low moaning — not animal, not human. Something else. He thinks it's a kitten trapped in a plastic bag. He reaches out to nudge it free. The bundle moves. It has a head. Arms. Legs. It looks at him — if it even has eyes — and drags itself toward the wall and disappears. That was the first time. It would not be the last. Over the next four months, Caponi saw the creature five more times. Each time he had his Polaroid camera ready. Six photographs. Six chances to prove something impossible was real. In this episode Bubah is joined by a very special returning guest — Z is back — as they walk through the full Caponi case. The six photographs, one by one. The forensic analysis commissioned by one of the world's leading UFO investigators and conducted by a Scotland Yard expert who declared the photos authentic. The Italian court that confiscated the photos, put Caponi on trial — and then dropped the case. The grandmother who saw it too, screamed, and never spoke publicly about it again.    The Sunday Morning Slasher: The Predator the System Kept Setting Free

Listener discretion is strongly advised. Between 1972 and 1982, Sunday mornings in Michigan and Texas became a hunting ground. A predator moved through the pre-dawn darkness with a purpose so cold and methodical that witnesses who locked eyes with him never forgot what they saw. He had a name, a job, a wife, a child. In those early hours, he became something else. His name was Carl Eugene Watts. The Sunday Morning Slasher. He was evaluated by court-ordered psychiatrists at fifteen years old. Their report called him a danger to society. The judge looked at that report and released him on his sixteenth birthday. He confessed to attacking fifteen women before he turned twenty-one. He was sentenced to one year in county jail. The psychiatric report from that sentencing called him extremely hazardous, lacking in remorse, with a high likelihood of reoffending. They let him out anyway. In this solo episode Bubah tells the full story — who Carl Eugene Watts was, the women he killed, the women who survived and fought back, the investigation that finally caught him, and the plea deal that gave fourteen families a confession but no justice. He names every victim. Every one of them deserves to be remembered as more than a name in a police file. The system failed these women at every turn. This episode doesn't look away from that.
