[…] Consumers are starting to push back on offshore manufacturing. tariff politics are beginning to heat up, although we wouldn't imagine what that looks like compared to today. But in 2013, people were talking about reshoring. The manufacturing PR team is suddenly being attached to all of these sorts of decisions. And DeWalt decides to build a 75,000 square foot space in Fort Mill, South Carolina. And it starts to set up assembly cells and equipment to basically wind the electric motors on site. And the first cordless tools ship about six weeks after the setup, which is a factory guy. That's great. […]
