[…] So, in Indiana, non-public schools are graded on the same accountability rubric as public schools. The new statewide accountability model is really thoughtful. It scores multiple critical levers that we know lead to success. And we think that accountability on outcomes is really adequate to drive that success without prescribing ways to achieve those outcomes. So... We look forward to celebrating quantifiable successes of non-public schools on that new accountability rubric, but we will continue to oppose mandates that impede on local curricular or budgetary autonomy for non-public schools. You've got to stand up for them. […]
