[…] One of them was a sixth grader that came to me as a first grade reader. And I had the opportunity because I had a system in place in my school that I could work with students every day for 45 minutes. I had evidence-based intervention and I was highly trained that I could work with that student every day in middle school for three years. And he graduated from high school. And he's now in college. That's a beautiful example of a classroom experience. How can that be expanded? We think about school-wide. How can schools better support teachers serving these older struggling students?
