Eight Stories Tall is the podcast that celebrates the significance in all of us. Every season, Jason Tomlinson sits down with one guest for eight episodes in order to listen to their stories. In doing so, it is our hope that listeners will also sit down with their friends and family members and do the same. We are all more than we seem. We are all, in fact, eight stories tall.
There is no way to talk about the way my dad parented without giving a lot of attention to his emphasis on God's Word. The four of us boys were blessed indeed by a father and mother who held scripture in a very high regard.

In this episode, Dad talks about two very different sides of his trauma. As a child, he grew up with parents who abused alcohol. As an adult, he had some very difficult experiences as a preacher. Growing up, I certainly wasn't aware of how difficult his childhood was but hearing about it has certainly increased by empathy for him tenfold. As always, thank you for listening.
