"Diesen Schatz muss man heben" – Schalke 04 und Gelsenkirchen
Sportlich lief es für den FC Schalke 04 in letzter Zeit nicht so gut. Dennoch kann niemand die besondere Rolle dieses Vereins für die Außendarstellung und die Identität Gelsenkirchens anzweifeln. Über diese Rolle und die potenziale Gelsenkirchens hat Irene mit Olivier Kruschinski gesprochen. Der Erfinder von #401GE und Vorsitzende der Stiftung Schalker Markt ist der Meinung, dass die Stadt mit den Dingen werben sollte, für die sie bekannt ist. Wenn das der Platz 401 und damit letzte Platz unter den lebenswertesten Städten Deutschlands ist, trägt man diese 401 selbstironisch voran. Schalke ist dabei als international bekannter Fußballverein ein Schatz, den man noch besser heben könnte.
