Von der ersten Homepage zum News Desk
Im Januar 2001 verband sich die Elbe-Jeetzel-Zeitung via www.ejz.de mit dem wordwideweb. Kurz vor Weihnachten begann die Redaktion, im Backend die Nachrichten einzuspielen. Zaghaft, ausgewählt aber regelmäßig. Damit begann die digitale Verbreitung der traditionellen Lokalnachrichten aus dem Wendland. Ein interner Einblick über die Anfänge, die Entwicklung und die Zukunft von Lokalzeitung im Internet.

Christian Fühner, bildungspolitischer Sprecher der CDU-Landtagsfraktion, war Gast beim Ortsverbandstreffen seiner Partei in Lüchow. Er stellt fest, dass Bildungspolitik ein zentrales Thema sei, das generationenübergreifend große Aufmerksamkeit und teilweise Unzufriedenheit mit dem aktuellen Kurs hervorrufe. Die Diskussionen und Besuche in Bildungseinrichtungen in Lüchow-Dannenberg hätten deutlich gemacht, dass im Bildungssystem signifikante Probleme bestünden, die durch die Bürokratie noch verschärft werden. Fühner betont die Notwendigkeit, Bildungsvielfalt zu erhalten und individuelle Förderung zu stärken, wobei er sich explizit gegen die Einheitsschulsysteme und für den Erhalt von Förderschulen ausspricht. Darüber hinaus setzt er sich für den Erhalt kleiner Grundschulen ein, besonders im ländlichen Raum, um Bildungsnähe und -qualität zu sichern, und sieht die Finanzierung dieser Schulen als eine staatliche Verpflichtung.

Anlässlich des Tag des Ehrenamtes am 5. Dezember haben die EJZ-Volontärinnen Judith Kahle und Fenja Wiechel-Kramüller drei junge Ehrenamtlerinnen aus dem Landkreis zum Gespräch gebeten. Ob im Sport, bei der Feuerwehr oder in der Politik - alle drei verbindet die feste Überzeugung, etwas in ihrem Bereich zum Wohle Lüchow-Dannenbergs zu bewegen.
