****************************************************************************************************************************

Eksi Otuz, started with the idea of giving a microphone to young professionals trying to make their mark in the field of culture and arts. The first season targeted young individuals, the second season targeted young institutions, communities, and venues. This program, which created change from the very beginning, received no invitations to tell its story on other platforms; I thought, perhaps the system is struggling not to change. However, the only constant is change itself. Through a few examples, I made some comments about the culture and arts sector trying to reinvent and develop itself. It's not the end of anything, but this is the final recording of the program, now and forever with you. Thank you for being here!

****************************************************************************************************************************

Every time I step behind the microphone, Ömer Madra and I, bringing our dedication and work ethic with us, engaged in a truly "intergenerational conversation" between the 68 generation, of which we are a part, and today's generation. We talked about everything from Salinger to The Who, from Jane Fonda to Greta Thunberg, but perhaps most importantly, about the culture that stretches from that old n-n-n-generation to us. And we did so while commemorating Hrant Dink.

****************************************************************************************************************************************

Melis, a PhD lecturer in the Department of Performing Arts at Istanbul Bilgi University, discusses the history of the department and its role in the arts and culture ecosystem. We talked about how the Performing Arts department, which opens a new path for those seeking an academic career or a full education in a culture and arts industry that relies almost entirely on self-taught talent, continues to exist as a rejuvenated institution in contemporary life.
