About Electric Lullaby
It all started a few years ago, on a hot July day. My two-year-old son Frank had apparently decided not to sleep on that night... And when I gave up all hope and the apartment without AC got really unbearably hot, I turned on the fan... The rest is, hmm, literally silence ;o) Indeed, the sleep-inducing effects of various sounds (such as fan white noise) have been scientifically proven! These sounds can help you if you want to fall asleep, relax, study, focus, meditate or soothe a crying baby. Here, on Electric Lullaby I'd like to share some of these sounds with you. Enjoy, Dave.

Baby Sleep White Noise | Baby Sleep Aid | Calm | Sleep | Study | Focus | Relax
What's the best place to sleep for a two-year-old? Cozy bedroom? A covered terrace bathed in greenery? Oh, no... The best according to my friend Alice is any room with the air conditioner on! It is not known exactly why this is so, but with the air conditioner on, her little son falls asleep and sleeps for several hours. Of course, it is also important to choose the temperature in the room properly. However, Alice says that the very soft hum of the air conditioner has a calming effect on the little one and helps him fall asleep. True, this may seem a bit strange to many... Anyway, it works! This is a one-hour episode but you can also watch the original 8-hour version of Large Air Conditioner Lullaby on YouTube. (https://youtu.be/H341rmreEnM) Why is the Air Conditioner White Noise calming? Scientists have proven that this sound can guide neuronal waves in our brains, creating a calming effect that may help you effectively if you want to fall asleep, relax, study, focus, meditate or calm a crying baby. Enjoy, Dave. Notice: Please remember not to drive while listening to this sound, because you may feel sleepy. Remember that my channel is not a substitute for a medical consultation. Help Baby Sleep Through the Night | Soothe Crying Baby | Old Fan Sound | Fall Asleep Quickly | White Noise
Holidays with my aunt in the south of France were always the same: excellent food, great weather and warm sea. Paradise! However, when our son was born and he was old enough to take him to Côte d'Azur, there was another unexpected factor to all of these wonders: the little one didn't want to sleep at all (probably because of the heat). In addition, he was screaming for hours on end. Until one day I come back from shopping and... silence! Well, maybe not really - in Frank's room there was an unbearably old fan that his aunt has brought from the attic. And imagine that the little one slept like never before with this nasty sound until the morning, and when he woke up... But that's another story. Anyway, it works! This is a one-hour episode but you can also watch the original 10-hour version of Old Fan Lullaby on YouTube. (https://youtu.be/6ObydDRV5q8) Why is the Fan White Noise calming? How to Soothe a Colicky Baby? | Hair Dryer White Noise | Baby Sleep Aid
The sound of an electric hair dryer is one of the most classic examples of white noise also emitted by various household electrical appliances. Small motors of electric devices such as hair dryers or fans emit a delicate, subtle sound that effectively masks other sounds coming from the environment and thus make it easier to fall asleep. If you want to calm down or fall asleep (or want to soothe your baby) this is probably the best choice. Give it a try! This is a one-hour episode but you can also watch the original 10-hour version of Hair Dryer Lullaby on YouTube. (https://youtu.be/1y61Nubd0MM) Why is the Hair Dryer White Noise calming? How to Get Baby to Sleep? | Vacuum White Noise | Baby Sleep Aid | White Noise | Study | Focus | Relax | Meditate
The sound generated by the vacuum cleaner is a kind of white noise emitted also by other household electrical appliances such as fans or hair dryers. However, there is something special about the sound, a unique hum that has a calming effect on some (children and adults), allowing them to relax and help them fall asleep. The sound is specific, low, somewhat reminiscent of the distant noise of rain and, above all, it perfectly masks other sounds coming from the outside. This is a one-hour episode but you can also watch the original 8-hour version of Vacuum Lullaby on YouTube. (https://youtu.be/qMXXnsIUJS8) Why is the Vacuum White Noise calming? Baby Sleep Noise | Electric Car White Noise | Baby Sleep Aid | Relax | Calm | Meditate
Many children love to travel by car: gentle rocking, changing images outside the window and the sound of the engine soothe them and make it easier to fall asleep. Sometimes, however, the sound of the engine and other sounds are too loud and, instead of making it easier, interfere with sleep and irritate children. When traveling by electric car, we drive in almost complete silence - in the cabin we can only hear a slight hum, somewhat reminiscent of the distant sound of wind or sea waves. In such conditions, children fall asleep instantly! My friend Greg, owner of the second-generation electric Nissan Leaf, found out about it. His two-year-old son Mike loves traveling with his dad and falls asleep instantly. Greg was kind enough to let me record the sound in Leaf's cabin at around 80-100 mph. Try it, it really works! This is a one-hour episode but you can also watch the original 11-hour version of Electric Car Lullaby on YouTube. (https://youtu.be/whRsymwuD1A) Why is the Electric Car White Noise calming? How to Put Baby to Sleep? | Fan White Noise | Baby Sleep Aid | Study | Focus | Calming White Noise
The calm, monotonous sound of oscillating fan is a unique example of white noise that can help soothe a crying or non-sleepy baby. My friend Ivan (newborn's dad) spent over 4 hours in the store choosing the fan with the quietest sound in his opinion! Well, my guess is that he was blacklisted by the sellers ;-) But that's another story... The most important thing is that you can hear this unique, calming and sleepy sound here. Thanks Ivan! This is a one-hour episode but you can also watch the original 7-hour version of Oscillating FanLullaby on YouTube. (https://youtu.be/_uf4tYEhocw) Why is the Fan White Noise calming? Best White Noise for Baby | Fridge White Noise | ASMR | Sleep Sound | Relax | Baby Sleep
My friend Mike's son, Andy, who was crying and constantly restless, would not fall asleep, was a nuisance to his parents. I gave him a sound as a gift... Yes, sound can also be a gift and I don't think about the latest U2 album, although I like this band immensely. I gave Mike my newest electric lullaby! This time I risked damaging my beloved Tascam DR-07X by putting it in the refrigerator for several minutes. I cleaned up the sound in Audacity a bit and added a reverb effect. It surprised everyone! The warm, soft, white hum of the refrigerator made it Andy's best lullaby. Today I want to share this audio with you as well. Give it a try! This is a one-hour episode but you can also watch the original 8-hour version of Smart Fridge Lullaby on YouTube. (https://youtu.be/A3qV0pObSIo) Why is the Fridge White Noise calming?
