This month we played a sample platter of Jeff's favorite genre to finally understand the appeal of this long-running genre. Sick soundtracks, lots of bullets, and powerups galore await as we get into 3 of the genre's best.

EGF's 2023 Games of the Year
We've emerged from our long slumber, and what better way to kick things back off with an incredibly delayed GOTY 2023 episode. We finally give games we played up to 18 months ago their flowers, and we give our top 10s from an absolute banger past year, too.
A programming note: we are back from hiatus, and do have our next 2 episodes in the hopper. We recorded a bit out of order, so excuse any continuity errors in here, but here's our upcoming schedule for those who forgot:
Next month: Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon
July: SHMUP Grab Bag - Blazing Lasers, Lords of Thunder, and Mushihimesama (never announced on an episode, not gonna lie we got too intimidated by Dwarf Fortress)
August: Kingdom Hearts II
