Elevated Dialogue is an opportunity to analyzes the conversations that are within the songs that artists write and listen to. This Podcast is a chance to sit with some of the most talented music artists, visual artists, scholars, and journalists, to discuss current events and the way they've shaped music and more importantly, how music shapes the world.
One thing 2020 has shown us is that we've all needed to heal.
We sat down with Chef Kaius and talked about the value of traditional foods, the importance of multi-cultural connections, and R & B/Soul Music's shifts and trends as of recent years. This episode reminds me that we must continue to manifest the best versions of ourselves through such an unpredictable period. Society changes when we elevate ourselves emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically (no particular order).
"Don't go to the grave full of potential." — Kaius

"Black America Again"
An exploration of place and time amidst a climate of peaceful protests and rioting; in response to police brutality, and the heartless murder of George Floyd. These are personal reflections and feelings on the matter at hand, and a look into one of Hip Hop's more revolutionary vibes with Common's "Letter to the Free," from the Album, "Black America Again." Be sure to listen to the new MC² single "Cocoa Butter" at the end of the podcast, and listen to the entire "Venus" album on Spotify.
