   10. The House Inside Your Mind

What if the houses we dream about are actually maps of the self? In this episode, we explore the House Theory of dreams, the idea that every room, and level represents a different layer of the psyche. Drawing from Carl Jung’s work, personal dream stories, we descend into the symbolic architecture of the mind. Joined by returning guest Matti, we unpack a powerful basement dream and explore what lives below the surface: repressed emotions, inherited patterns, forgotten memories, and parts of ourselves asking to be acknowledged not feared. inviting you to look at your inner house with curiosity, compassion, and courage. sources https://thisjungianlife.com/house-dreams/ (https://thisjungianlife.com/house-dreams/) https://bulkeley.org/the-meanings-of-houses-in-dreams/ (https://bulkeley.org/the-meanings-of-houses-in-dreams/) https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/dreaming-in-the-digital-age/202501/the-meaning-of-houses-in-dreams (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/dreaming-in-the-digital-age/202501/the-meaning-of-houses-in-dreams) https://psyche.co/ideas/for-jung-architecture-was-a-tool-to-represent-the-psyche (https://psyche.co/ideas/for-jung-architecture-was-a-tool-to-represent-the-psyche)

   9. Selling your soul

What if selling your soul was never just a metaphor? Across centuries, cultures, and religions, people have warned that greatness comes at a cost. From a blues musician who vanished and returned transformed, to artists who died at the peak of fame, to ancient stories of bargains made in blood, the same pattern keeps repeating. In this episode of Ellis and the Unknown, we trace the origins of the soul-selling myth through folklore, religion, and modern celebrity culture. We explore the story of Robert Johnson, the legend of Faust, the quiet horror of The Picture of Dorian Gray, and why people still believe success demands payment. Is selling your soul a joke we tell to explain fame? A moral warning we’ve forgotten how to hear? Or something far more real than we’re comfortable admitting? Because if someone offered you everything you’ve ever wanted… what would it cost you? 8. Yule Unwrapped: Pagan Traditions Behind Modern Christmas

Krista is joined by her longtime friend Matti to explore the ancient Pagan roots of the winter season, from Yule and the Winter Solstice to Mother’s Night, the Twelve Nights, and the spirits believed to roam the longest nights of the year. We uncover how modern Christmas traditions echo old Pagan rituals: fire and feast, evergreen trees, sacred oaths, offerings left for wandering spirits a reminder that the holidays weren’t always about cheer. Sometimes they were about enduring the cold, honoring the dead, and hoping the sun would return.
