Elvis At 80 A Poets Podcast

About Elvis At 80 A Poets Podcast

Lyric poetry, which takes its name from the ancient lyre., is one among many genre of poetry that I would like to explore in this weekly podcast. If you have a taste for song lyric and are curious about poetry modern postmodern and even ancient you might enjoy the musings of a self-confessed amateur poet. I promise not to bore you with too many opinions and hope to enchant you with so many poems and works of artistic inspiration and sometimes even genius that you'll wish you had listened to that old teacher with the funny glasses. You can live without bread briefly without water even more briefly, but almost never without human communication. We need it more than ever; join me at Elvis at 80 and see what you think.

    Elvis at 80 number one

Elvis at 80 is the working title of a book of originally prison poetry that I began to compose about 5 years ago and intended to publish at the time of Elvis's 80th birthday even though the poems are much older. So now in advance of the publication I've decided to start a podcast just to listen to my own voice, no seriously it's going to be fun, and you'll get to hear some of the poetry that I would like to share with the world along with my favorite poetic heroes and other artistic inspirations. Please enjoy at your own risk!
