Welcome back to the Embarrassed by Night Podcast with Fred Le. We're still in Saigon, and in audio only, baby!
Rocky Huynh is the founder of Vietnam Pro Wrestling, and the Vietnam's first pro wrestler. He and his team are responsible for bringing the joy of pro wrestling to Vietnam. His efforts have captured the attention of pro wrestling legend Chris Jericho, who was so inspired by his own trip to Vietnam that he is currently producing a documentary on VPW.
Rocky and Fred chat about the beginnings of Vietnam Pro Wrestling, the challenges of importing a brand new art form to the motherland, and what's next for the group.

2x3 Filmmaker Phan Xinê
Welcome back to this new era of the Embarrassed by Night Podcast with Fred Le. We're in Saigon, and only in audio, for the next few episodes!
Our first Saigon guest may look familiar, as he has made his acting debut on HBO's new prestige miniseries The Sympathizer, portraying The Crapulent Major aka Dumpling. A respected filmmaker in his own right, Phan Xinê has directed several successful Vietnamese films beginning with Em là bà nội của anh and most recently the Trịnh Công Sơn biopic Em và Trịnh.
He sits down with Fred to chat about his path to USC film school, the state of Vietnamese movie comedies, whether there will ever be a Vietnamese RRR, and much more!
Check out his project Xinehouse, which is an organization dedicated to nurturing budding young Vietnamese filmmakers : https://xinehouse.com/

2x2 Music Videos with Sean Porter and Viet Nguyen
After a long work-related hiatus, the Embarrassed by Night Podcast resumes its season 2 rollout!
On this episode recorded back in 2023, Fred brings back EBN stalwarts Sean Porter and Viet Nguyen to dig back into Vietnamese music videos. We get hella sidetracked and dig into German-Vietnamese relations, pet stories, Sean's most Vietnamese trait, and much more.
Because the podcast is currently a one-man band, the podcast will no longer conform to a regular release schedule. Please be sure to subscribe to keep up with our future episodes, because we have some HEAT coming at you.
Follow our guests Sean Porter @imseanporter and Viet Nguyen @vietspeekenglizh to keep up with their continuing tour dates.
And catch Viet at our next EBN show on May 11th, a house party in Orange County! Use the link in our Instagram profile to cop tickets because they will go quick. @embarrassedbynight
