24. Rewriting the "Eat Less, Do More" Story with Caitlin Santomauro

In this episode, I’m joined by Caitlin Santomauro - health educator, yoga instructor, Reiki practitioner, CrossFit coach, and author of The Language of Self-Affirmation. Caitlin shares her personal health journey after being told she was likely entering pre-menopause due to extremely low AMH levels. For many women, news like this can feel devastating and confusing. Caitlin opens up about the years leading up to that diagnosis - a lifestyle shaped by chronic under-fueling, intense training, and the cultural belief that doing more and eating less is always better for our bodies. Together we unpack how that mindset became normalized for an entire generation of women, and how it can quietly undermine hormonal health. We also discuss the shifts Caitlin made to support her body differently... increasing carbohydrate intake, reducing high-intensity training, prioritizing recovery, and reconnecting with the deeper signals of her body. Through these changes, Caitlin began to see meaningful improvements in her hormones, energy, and overall well-being. This conversation explores the deeper work of deconstructing the “eat less, do more” narrative that so many women have internalized, and replacing it with a more sustainable approach to health rooted in nourishment, balance, and self-trust. Caitlin also shares her perspective on self-compassion, egg freezing, and how rewriting our internal dialogue can be just as important as changing our habits. If you’ve ever felt caught in the cycle of restriction, overtraining, and striving for perfection with your health, this episode offers a refreshing reminder that sometimes the most powerful transformation begins with doing less, nourishing more, and listening to the body instead of overriding it. ⸻ Connect with Caitlin Follow Caitlin on Instagram:@manifestingcaitlin You can buy Caitlin's book:The Language of Self-Affirmationby clicking this link

23. Let Them Be Wrong About You

One of the most liberating shifts I ever made didn’t come from a book, a therapist, or even a mindset practice. It came from coparenting. For years, I had to learn, sometimes the hard way, what it means to let people be wrong about me. To sit with slander. To resist the urge to defend myself. To stay rooted in who I am rather than who someone else needed me to be in their narrative. And the wild part? That skill has radically changed my body image, my business, and my entire sense of self. Because here’s the truth I share in this episode: 👉 When you stop trying to prove yourself, your confidence skyrockets. 👉 When you stop trying to control the narrative, your nervous system finally rests. 👉 When you stop performing “goodness,” you stop abandoning yourself. Just like in Wicked, where someone must always be the “good witch” and someone must always be the “bad witch,” people will always filter you through their own lenses, wounds, and projections. In their story, you might be the villain even when you’re not. In your own story, you get to be free. And the same pattern shows up everywhere: 🌿 In body image: When you stop trying to prove your “discipline,” shrink yourself, or meet impossible standards, your body actually becomes a safer place to live in. Your choices come from self-respect instead of self-surveillance. 💼 In business: When you stop contorting yourself to be palatable to every follower, coach, or gym bro watching, your messaging becomes magnetic. Your offers land. Your confidence becomes regulation instead of performance. And ironically? Your results grow. 🔥 This episode is for women who feel misunderstood… Who are tired of controlling every perception… Who are ready to step out of “good girl energy” and into sovereign self-trust. If you’ve ever struggled with body image, food, perfectionism, or the pressure to prove yourself, this conversation will land deep. It’s time to let people be wrong about you and watch your life expand because of it. 🎧 Listen now to Episode 23: “Let Them Be Wrong About You” Your nervous system, your body, and your business will thank you.
