Embodying Her is about women – our bodies, health, social issues, and our stories. It's also about discovering all aspects of the sacred feminine within – her guidance, loving nature, fierce protection, and her divine rage. I used to feel alone in my struggles. It wasn’t until I started sharing and asking for help that I found others who were going through, or had been through, something similar. I believe the more we share our stories the more we empower others. We all have the ability to embody the Sacred Feminine. It’s my wish that this podcast aids in you in your path to her.
Episode 5: My Miscarriage Story with Kathleen Fitzsimmons
This episode is the 2nd in a mini series about pregnancy loss. For my 2nd guest I have The American University of Rome's Professor Emerita Kathleen Fitzsimmons. I met Kathleen as a student when attending AUR. In addition to continuing her service to AUR by championing alumni outreach she also works with the Girl Scouts of American Abroad program. In this episode, Kathleen shares her experience of having a miscarriage in Italy almost 30 years ago.
My hope is that this mini series will bring to light an often hushed topic and let other women going through this know they are not alone. The more we share our stories with others, the more we help them to heal.

Episode 4: My Miscarriage Story with Kelly Jean
This episode is the 1st in a mini series about pregnancy loss. My 1st guest is a dear friend and soul sister of mine, Kelly Jean. Kelly opens up about her recent experience with pregnancy loss and her ongoing recovery.
The biggest thing I learned from Kelly was one in four pregnancies result in a miscarriage. Meaning, this is more common than people may think.
My hope is that this mini series will bring to light an often hushed topic and let other women going through this know they are not alone. The more we share our stories with others, the more we help them to heal.

Episode 2: Period Poverty with The Power Pump Girls
Episode Guests: Sherin Dawud and Raina Vallot of Power Pump Girls, Inc.
"power pump girls, inc. is a social impact club whose mission is to empower women to connect and serve"
These two powerhouses work to bring women together to impact culture and legislation. They were instrumental in changing the law around the Tampon Tax in Louisiana and are currently advocating for period equity in their community.
The Buzz Words:
Pink Tax - a term coined around the mid 90s which referred to the price inflation of "substantially similar" products based on them being marketed to women. Think razors, shampoo, deodorant.
Tampon Tax - It's not a specific tax on menstrual products. We use this term when discussing menstrual products being taxed as value added or luxury item.
Period Poverty - When a woman has financial trouble accessing her menstrual products.
In case you are under the impression that Period Poverty only happens in developing countries: In 2021, the George Mason University completed a study which showed 14% of college females experienced period poverty in the last year and 10% experience period poverty every month. This means missed classes, missed work, and missed opportunities. When women's purchasing power is already less than our male counterparts; this is unacceptable.
