Should there be a limit to the things we share or should we just let it all hang out? Jake and Wayne engage this conversation from a Mental Health and Pastoral perspective. Wayne also surprises Jake with quite a story.

Episode 5-George Floyd: Rage, Uprising, and Response

This episode focuses on the outcry of African-Americans in the wake of George Floyd's death in Minneapolis. Wayne parses out the connotations of "rioting" verses "uprising" and speaks to looting as a result of protest. Jake offers ways that white people can step into the responsibility of engaging  other white people around the realities of racial injustice and discrimination. Jake also discusses the idolization of white allyship versus the power of authentic presence around racial issues. Lastly, this episode places in tension the irony of Pentecost coinciding with Floyd's assassination and the cost associated with truly being a Christian witness.
