Kassi doesn’t ”do” sports. She can’t throw a ball, much less hit one. But what she can do is mental gymnastics. From being known as someone who adamantly avoided all emotions, to feeling them all at once, there was nothing left to do but put all of that word vomit into a podcast. Every week we talk all things light, heavy, and all the messed up sh*t in between - hopefully getting a little bit more emotionally flexible each time.

life is a performance: perception and the inner audience
some things always come back around, don't they? this week i'm talking about being perceived - yet again. the thing that's different this time? I'm asking myself about self-perception. have you ever felt like someone was watching you, even when no one's around? I'm not talking about in a "somebody-is-following-me" kind of way, but rather in a Truman Show-esque way. Does everything need to be perceived to be good? Does a tree fall in the forest if nobody's around to hear it? Does a Kassi post a podcast if nobody's there to listen to it?

i'm just a 25 year old teenage girl: life updates, aging epiphanies, and airbnb talents
HI ALL! so sorry for ghosting you last week - take me back? i hope we all had a relaxing week off. in this week's episode i'm giving you a little baby life update. i'm finally moving out of my "busy" season and feeling a little introspective. I recap my recent trip to big bear, how i'm just in my 15's of my 20's, and how i'm leaning into my girlboss era.

intentional friendship, hypothetical fame, and the certified lover boy with charles hall
i'm joined today by my second ever guest: my long-time friend and musician charles hall (but cam to me + many)! this is a special one to me! we talk how our years-long friendship has shaped us into being more intentional, how to properly support your friends, and we dream up hypothetical limitations to our non-existent fame. on a lighter note, i stress just how seriously i take my diet coke drinking habits, social media bots, and how tom brady's second retirement has devastated my family. stay tuned to the very end to hear my new-found love for valentine's day while cam claims the title of certified lover boy by getting ushy-gushy about his lady and their date night plans.

who cares?: tough self-love and your inner best friend
who cares? short, sweet, and to the point. just like this episode. i tell you my newest hack to stopping negative, self-limiting beliefs in their tracks and how i've been forcing myself into things i'd normally talk myself out of. i let it slip that i'm now a pilates princess, but not before i talk a little bit about your inner critic vs your inner best friend, and how often it can be that the two are the same thing.

my ins and outs: being delusional, birkenstock bostons, emf blockers, & waking up early
a short, sweet little solo episode for you! i've been obsessed with watching "ins and outs" videos on TikTok and figured that i'm self-absorbed enough to insist that you all are dying to hear mine. and in proper form, i couldn't just simply make a one-minute video about this on a social media app. I had to use my incredibly niche audio sharing platform to tell you all about it. getting your personality back is fun! but it also seemingly makes you delusional. i talk - in grave detail - about birkenstock bostons, explaining myself, the ever-looming return of ballet flats, pilates, emf blockers, and the 5 day work week!

hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have: 2023 new year resolutions, lucky girl syndrome, and setting intentions
i’m finally ready to talk about it: my new year’s resolutions! i’ve always been someone who planned my year out to the t - we were setting goals, benchmarks, visualizing our highest selves. pull out your pinterest boards girls and guys, because i was strapping in to do my regular resolution manifesting routine. however, when i finally went to do it, i realized something: i didn’t feel the need to. when i thought to myself what I wanted my year to look like, i realized it was far more abstract than i was anticipating. suddenly vision boards, schedules, and tangible calendars felt frivolous and unhelpful.
in this episode, i talk about setting intentions vs goals and how to bring your resolutions to a scale that may be a little bit more manageable. i talk all about the “lucky girl syndrome” phenomenon and elaborate how i’ve started incorporating the law of assumption into my life.
here’s to making 2023 the year it’s meant to be - whatever that looks like.

you can do it all: body acceptance, building your best life, and curating the healthiest, strongest version of yourself w/ maddy muller
HAPPY NEW YEAR! what better way to kick off 2023 than with our first guest? maddy muller (aka madz.liftz) is a powerlifter, lifestyle and wellness coach, and one of a kind woman. in today's episode we cover it all: from our friendship history to the correct way to use "bussin'" in a sentence. maddy has lived the grind-mentality for far too long - leading to the inevitable burnout we've all felt. however, she talks all about how it acted as a wake up call to stop living to work and start working on things that made her feel most alive. we talk all about the start of her lifestyle coaching business R.A.T Liftz and how fitness and nutrition helped her actualize her goal of helping people. this woman is a powerhouse.

this is my 25th reason: my official quarter life crisis, romanticizing your birthday, and fact-checking buzzfeed lists
WE'RE BACK BABY! after a two month hiatus we're getting started on season two with a bang. what other way to kick things off than by launching on my birthday! today, i turn 25 and in this episode i confess to having my official quarter life crisis and how it lead me to rock bottom: fact checking buzzfeed’s “25 things i learned by 25” lists. turns out they're cringey and not-as-fun as you had thought. i also have a long awaited rant about astrology, plus a moon sign reveal (yeah, you guessed it, i have a fire moon). somehow i manage to fill 45 minutes of time talking about how sex and the city made me feel better about being in my 20s, praying for my elaborate birthday plans, my hopes for 25, but ultimately settling on my new mantra: never stop romanticizing your birthday.

an unexpected letter to my nineteen year old self: goal setting and years-long burnout
today's episode takes an unexpected turn when my musings about goal setting result in me rereading old diary entries. in my old entries, i find myself pleasantly surprised when i realize i may or may not have actually reached some of those goals that seemed so far away back then. this episode, i talk about caroline crawford's tiktok on burnout lasting years, how i cope with feeling "behind" in life, and my embarrassing search history revelations.

phone a friend: answering your questions and holding space
as season one winds to a close, this week i answer a few questions so we can get to know each other a little better. i source questions, ask you all what you're sitting with, and attempt to hold space for what you're going through. i talk about my thoughts about fall creeping in on me, my pending hibernation, and how i feel about putting my self-worth into social media metrics.

begging my green juice to fix me: admitting the tik-tok girlies were right, self-limiting beliefs, and the downside to astrology
this week i finally admit it: the it girls of the internet were right. a walk, drinking my water, and washing myself will actually make me feel better. for a second. but after that wears off, what’s next? i talk about how much i hate putting myself into a niche, defining my personality, and how in moments of doubt i cling to personality tests, my astrological birth chart, and human design maps to tell me about myself instead of turning within to define myself by my own terms.

this is definitely my first rodeo: wishing for a mentor, grief, and sibling dynamics
this week i’m processing in real time. i go full sylvia plath and very cryptically talk about processing grief in a way that makes me realize something i never did before: i wish that i had a mentor. i touch on reincarnation, loneliness, sibling relationships, and how this is definitely my first rodeo.

trying to get my personality back
getting out of a slump is hard. it’s hard when you don’t know exactly how to get out of it, but it’s even harder when you didn’t realize you were in one to begin with. this week is all about recognizing how depression/anxiety/etc spells put us into an almost catatonic state and strips us of all the little things that we found fun. we talk about my recently rediscovered obsession for pinterest in hopes that we can make like kylie jenner and like..... get our personality back.

a lesson in fluidity
this week we talk about the daily death and birth of self. the fall always brings upon a sort of nostalgia for the past that i can’t seem to put my finger on. however, each time, i find myself romanticizing past versions of myself - even though they weren’t quite as healthy as i remember them to be. like every week before: i have a seemingly profound revelation that i do not have to simply be one way forever. i can change the way i am at a drop of a hat! no strings attached! i share a million and one of my favorite quotes and mantras that i live by and try to encourage you that nothing - really - is that deep.

i simply do not dream of labor
this week is for the girls, gays, and type A’s. we talk all about burnout. it’s almost seems like we hit rock-bottom every other week. but why? why do we overload our plate week after week? if there’s one thing we never do - it’s learn our lesson! kassi simultaneously tries to convince herself and grant everyone else the permission to empty your plate to fill your cup. take the easy way out! you’ve worked hard enough to rest. less girl bossing! more girl resting! more girl laying down!

self care (as a threat)
this week kassi inches herself a little deeper into the world of theoretical musings by talking all things self-care. is the word self-care the same as taking care of yourself? taking care of yourself is hard and doesn't always feel as good as social media hacks and highlight reels always lead us to believe. while face masks, bubble baths, and yoga practices are all integral parts of our wellness routines, the phrase "taking care of yourself" often feels and looks a lot less glamorous. yet, it's all an important process. let's deep dive into some of the best ways we can be a little bit kinder to ourselves while also holding ourselves accountable for "doing the work".

do not perceive me until further notice
this week we talk about the only thing we are confident about: the fact that we do not wish to be perceived. becoming an internet personality is hard! but somebody’s gotta do it. kassi talks about the first week of being a new, self-proclaimed podcasting god and how it has caused her to wish to simply slide off the face of the earth never to be seen again. hopefully she lasts into next week! two podcasts is enough for a season right?

god complexes are in for summer
at long last: our first episode. to kick off what i'm sure will be some listener's longest relationship (this podcast, of course), we're building a strong foundation. what is emotional elasticity and does that make me a sociopath or emotionally aware? additionally, i attempt to theorize my impostor syndrome by taking the leap into podcasting.
