You Give So Much… Can You Receive? | The Mindful Heart Practice
You Give So Much… Can You Receive? | The Mindful Heart Practice
Are you comfortable giving appreciation, kindness, and encouragement to others—but find it harder to receive those same things yourself?
Sometimes a compliment comes our way and, almost automatically, we brush it aside. Someone tells us they appreciate us, and before their words have a chance to land, we minimize them, redirect the attention, or simply move on.
But hearing something good and truly receiving it aren't always the same thing.
In this episode of Empowering Mindful Moments, Art Kuhns explores what it means to live with a mindful heart—not only noticing the goodness in our lives, but allowing ourselves to receive it.
You'll also be guided through The Mindful Heart Practice, a gentle experience that moves through three simple steps:
Receive → Let It Settle → Give
With a hand over your heart, you'll practice allowing a moment of appreciation or kindness to truly reach you, give it time to settle, and then turn your attention toward something genuine you would like to share with someone else.
Because mindfulness isn't only about noticing what's happening.
Sometimes it's about becoming open enough to let the good things in—and willing enough to pass them along.
Your mindful invitation this week:
Receive one thing fully. Give one thing genuinely.
🎧 Take a few minutes, place a hand over your heart, and experience The Mindful Heart Practice for yourself.

What Are You Missing? | A Simple Gratitude Practice to Notice More
What Are You Missing? | A Simple Gratitude Practice to Notice More
What if gratitude isn't only about appreciating what has already happened—but about becoming more aware of what's happening right now?
In this episode of Empowering Mindful Moments, Art Kuhns explores how a simple gratitude practice can help us release expectations, become more present, and notice the small gifts that can easily pass us by.
Then, rather than simply talking about gratitude, Art guides you through a short mindful gratitude practice. You'll begin by settling into the present moment, identify three simple things you genuinely appreciate, and finish with an affirmation designed to carry that awareness into the rest of your day:
“I am becoming more aware of the little miracles in my life.”
You don't need to search for extraordinary moments. Sometimes the practice is simply becoming present enough to notice what's already here.
Take a few minutes, slow down, and discover what you may have been missing.
In this episode: • How expectations can narrow what we notice • Why gratitude and mindfulness work naturally together • A simple three-part gratitude practice • How to practice gratitude while life is happening • An affirmation for noticing life's little miracles

Too Busy to Enjoy Your Life? | 3 Ways to Slow Down and Notice
Have you ever been so busy getting through your day that you realize you haven't really experienced much of it?
A hurried mind can keep us focused on what's next, the next task, the next responsibility, the next place we need to be, all while some of life's simplest moments pass unnoticed.
In this episode of Empowering Mindful Moments, Art Kuhns shares three practical ways to interrupt the rush and become more present without having to slow down your entire life.
You'll discover how to challenge the thought “I don't have time,” use your body to help slow a hurried mind, and stop mentally living three tasks ahead.
You'll also experience just how much difference a moment can make.
You don't necessarily need a less busy life. Sometimes you simply need to stop hurrying past the life you're already living.
In this episode, you'll learn:
A simple, moment, practice for interrupting hurry
How slowing one physical action can help settle a busy mind
A simple way to bring your attention back from what's next to what's now
Your mindful takeaway: You don't have to make your whole day peaceful. Begin with the moment you're in.
