Have you ever felt lost trying to find your way into a male-dominated industry? You’re not the only one. Katelyn Smith and Paige Davoren are studying broadcast journalism with a sports concentration at the University of South Carolina. They are only at the beginning of their careers but have already faced gender discrimination in the sports industry. The EmpowHER the Game Podcast was created to emphasize the importance of empowering women in sports. The goal of this podcast is to motivate and inspire females who are currently in or looking to break into the industry.
Accepting that you are in the wrong role creates growth within your career. You might have this idea that your career is supposed to go in a certain direction after school but there is so much out of your control and that is the beauty that you can figure it out as you go.
