The people Jermiah spoke to were heading towards a cliff edge, God's word was speaking to them about to avoid falling off it, both diagnosing the problem that led got them their and giving them another way out of their predicament into health and hope.

Isaiah Part 2 - The Highway of Holiness
In a part 2 to our first message on Isaiah, Abigail Forman teaches today on the 'Highway of Holiness' (Isaiah 35: 8). The word 'holy' is found in the book of Isaiah over 60 times, it is a book about holiness.
To step into the fullness of the what God has for us, we need to be holy. This can feel burdensome and convicting in a painful way as we know how much we can and do fall short of the holiness of God. However the more we know God and enjoy His presence the more we want to be like Him, pure and holy.
The message of the gospel is not "Try harder".
The message of the gospel is "He's made a way...trust Him".
We hope this short but powerful message ministers to you and points your gaze to Jesus your Saviour, Lord and friend.

The Gospel in Isaiah - What One Encounter With God Will Do To Your Life...
Isaiah chapter 6 contains one of the most powerful records of a human encountering God.
What is fascinating is the effect this encounter had on the prophet. Like Moses, Samuel, Solomon and countless others, after having an encounter with God the change it causes in the direction of Isaiah's life is undeniable
In Isaiah chapter 6 we see what needs to happen first between us and God and in our hearts before we can get to the directional / instructional part of our relationship with Him. God wants to move in our hearts first before He sends us places and gives us jobs to do.
As we will see, the process Isaiah goes through is a precursor to the process what we experience when we encounter Jesus, see our need for being made clean and then receive the forgiveness and freedom of the cross and resurrection.
