Encounter House exists to love Jesus and host the presence of God. We know that God wants to encounter His people, bring alignment to their identity, and activate them to live in authority. Join us in celebrating the life-changing power of God.
In this message, we explore the biblical themes of altars and monuments and how they reveal the power of agreement, memory, and identity. Throughout Scripture, altars were places where covenants were formed and sacrifices were offered. Monuments were established to remember what had happened and to remind future generations of what was true.
But what happens when the moments that shaped us were painful? What happens when rejection, fear, failure, or shame become monuments that continue to speak over our lives?
Through examples from Abraham, Isaac, Gideon, Samuel, Hezekiah, Josiah, and the nation of Israel, we discover that God often begins transformation by tearing down false altars and restoring the places where His truth has been forgotten. We also see that Jesus doesn't simply forgive our past—He desires to heal it.
This message will challenge you to examine what agreements were formed in your story, what monuments are still shaping your identity, and how the Holy Spirit can transform places of pain into testimonies of God's faithfulness.
Life to the Full is a series focused on walking in the freedom, healing, and abundant life that Jesus promised.
