Grounded

We don't get to choose how our life will go, nor do we get to avoid the trials it presents... But we do have the choice to ground ourselves on Something steady and unmovable. Placing our trust in Jesus gives us the seemingly impossible opportunity to stay grounded, firm, and steady during the most unsteady and difficult times of our lives.

Stay Free with Joy Clayton
Jesus' greatest desire is for us to be free.
Free from fear, free from depression, free from sin. In fact, our freedom meant so much to Him, that He chose to leave His perfect home in heaven to come restore the liberty that the devil took from us. He came to a place where He would be rejected, persecuted, and then even executed on the cross. The crazy thing is that all of these sufferings were worth it to Him so that we could live the way He does: completely free.

Our current society is living in a constant state of fear. Anxious thoughts have become a normal part of many of our lives, but it doesn't have to be like this. I have wasted a lot of time trying to fix my anxiety with earthly things to find that the cure has been here all along. I have found that Jesus is the only way to have perfect peace today, even though the days ahead are unknown an overwhelming.
