Episode 46 - Roblox Sued for Copyright Infringement over "Apple" Dance/"Sinners" and Ryan Coogler's Unique Copyright Assignment
In this week's episode of End Scene, Tony and Evan kick things off with a unique copyright infringement lawsuit against Roblox stemming from their use of the viral dance from Kelly Heyer that she created for Charlie XCX's hit song "Apple." (3:29). Then, Tony and Evan discuss Ryan Coogler's unique agreement with Warner Bros. that allows him to retain copyright ownership of his hit movie "Sinners" after 25 years from the date of the film's release (15:07). Finally, in honor of the box office success that is "Sinners," Tony and Evan share their favorite film in which an actor played multiple roles in the same movie (32:57).

Episode 45 - The Infamous "Chicken Jockey" Trend/Copyright Dispute Over "The Pitt"
Yeah, we're sorry for leaving you guys hanging for 3 months. But we promise we'll be back to our normal cadence of programming! Episode 45 is here and Tony and Evan have a nice short and sweet episode for you, starting with a discussion around the potential legal causes of action surrounding the "Chicken Jockey" trend that is trending around the country thanks to the release of "A Minecraft Movie" (4:34). Next, Tony and Evan chat about a copyright dispute between the Estate of Michael Crichton and Warner Bros Discovery over the release of the new Max show "The Pitt," in which the estate claims that the show is a direct derivative of "ER" simply because Noah Wyle starred in both shows (17:02). Finally, in honor of Coachella this past weekend, Tony and Evan share who they would love to see headlining the music festival (28:10).

Episode 44 - The Return of End Scene/Defamation Disputes between Drake and Kendrick Lamar and Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively/"Wicked" and the Public Domain
After months away from the mics, Tony and Evan to start 2025 with a brand new episode of End Scene! Tony and Evan share some personal updates before diving into this week's topics. This week, Tony and Evan discuss not one but TWO defamation disputes in the entertainment law sphere, the first being between rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar (10:28) and actors Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively (21:17). Tony and Evan discuss the fact patterns of each case with a discussion of actual malice, which is necessary in defamation cases involving public figures. Tony and Evan also spend some time talking about the public domain and discuss how the book turned musical turned movie "Wicked" evades copyright infringement disputes because of it's connection to L. Frank Baum's "The Wizard of Oz" (42:13). And for this week's fun topic, in honor of Evan's trip to Orlando to visit Tony and Disney World, Tony and Evan share their favorite Disney World ride (55:51).
