What’s your problem? 究竟代表什麼呢?</strong> <br /><strong>上星期我在耳鼻喉科門診等待時，聽到護理師對外籍病患說了一句：'What's your problem?'，當下我真的捏了一把冷汗，覺得甚麼? 他剛才說什麼?！為什麼What’s your problem? 這句話在診所是大忌？明明我們中文說『你有什麼問題？』很正常啊？那英文為什麼不能這樣說呢？ </strong> <br /><strong>【核心對比：The vs. Your】</strong> <br /><strong>1. What’s your problem? 【挑釁/罵人】吵架、行車糾紛：「你哪根筋不對？」</strong> <br /><strong>2. What’s the problem? 【客觀/專業】醫護詢問、維修檢查：「哪裡出了問題？」</strong> <br /><strong>* 在英文邏輯裡，加了 "Your" 就像是在攻擊對方的人格；改用 "The" 才是針對「病情」。</strong> <br /><strong>【醫護英文三部曲：自然不尷尬的應答】</strong> <br /><strong>第一階段：詢問來意 (Chief Complaint)</strong> <br /><strong>別再問What's your problem?，試試這三句：</strong> <br /><strong>1. <p>留言告訴我你對這一集的想法： <br /> <br /><strong>You are nobody’s prey. 你不是任何人的獵物 (Evy Poumpouras)</strong> <br /><strong>大家好！平凡的工作細節其實都隱藏著專業的靈魂。鄭苔英老師今天要帶大家看一場震撼 TED 舞台的演講。前特勤局特工 Evy Poumpouras 保護過四任總統，她要我們停止溫暖的安慰，用特務的「數據思維」重新武裝自己。</strong> <br /><strong>1. You are not that special：你沒那麼特別 "Take the 'me' out of the equation." (把「我」從等式中剔除。) 9/11 救援現場，Evy 在廢墟中意識到，執著於自己的痛苦會讓人癱瘓。唯有接受「我不特別」，才能從受害者情緒中 Detach (抽離)，冷靜觀察環境。</strong> <br /><strong>職場必學： Out of the equation 是職場高階用法。當你把情緒排除，你才能看清事實。</strong> <br /><strong>2. You are not alone：你並不孤單 "Fear is a shared experience." (恐懼是共享的經驗。)</strong> <br /><strong> 訓練時教官大吼，每個人都在抖。Evy 發現觀察別人的恐懼，能讓自己的情緒降溫。這叫 Shared suffering。 職場必學： 當你開會緊張時，試著對自己說："We are in the same boat." (我們處境相同)，這能幫你建立 Empathy (共感)。</strong> <br /><strong>3. Confidence is overrated：自信被高估了 "Confidence is a byproduct of doing." (自信是「做」之後產生的副產品。) 很多人問她擋子彈時有自信嗎？她說那時只有行動。自信不是先決條件，而是行動後的 Byproduct。</strong> <br /><strong>職場必學： 不要等 "I feel ready"。先行動，自信自然會補上。</strong> <br /><strong>4. Motivation = mediocrity：動機等於平庸 "Motivation is based on how you feel." (動機取決於你的心情。) 特工在凌晨三點起床不是因為有動力，而是因為 Structure (結構)。靠心情做事的人注定平庸。</strong> <br /><strong>職場必學： Reliant on your mood 是專業的大忌。你要建立 Discipline (紀律)，學會 Show up, no matter what。</strong> <br /><strong>5. You’re nobody’s prey：你不是任何人的獵物 "Your gait is your price tag." (你的步態就是你的標價單。) Evy 提到 1981 年震撼紐約的 Gait Study（步態研究）。研究人員在紐約最危險的街道拍攝路人，再讓監獄裡的暴力慣犯挑選目標。結果發現，罪犯專挑走路重心不穩、眼神閃躲的人，稱之為 Soft target (容易下手的目標)。</strong> <br /><strong>職場必學： Walk with conviction. (帶著堅定信念行走)。這能展現你的 Command Presence (氣場)，讓對方知道你絕非 A man to be trifled with (不容小覷的人)。</strong> <br /><strong>6. Your fear is not you：你的恐懼不代表你 "Fear is a physiological signal." (恐懼只是一個生理信號。) 訓練中，環境再崩潰，心跳加速也只是數據。你要像看 Dashboard (儀表板) 一樣看恐懼，但照樣執行任務。</strong> <br /><strong>職場學習： 當你焦慮時，告訴自己："This is just intelligence (information)." (這只是一個情報)，它只是一個信號，不代表你的身份。</strong> <br /><strong>7. You don’t need to heal to be resilient：你不需要痊癒才能擁有韌性 "You can be broken and resilient at the same time." (你可以同時是破碎的，也是有韌性的。)</strong> <br /><strong>很多人覺得受傷後要先 Heal (痊癒)。但 Evy 說，韌性是帶著傷疤（Scars）依然決定前進。</strong> <br /><strong>職場必學： resilience 不只是彈回原位，而是 Bounce forward (帶著經驗向前彈跳)。</strong> <br /><strong>【老師的職場加碼：剪掉那個 Itchy Label】</strong> <br /><strong>演講最精彩的結尾是這句："Labels are for clothes, not for people."</strong> <br /><strong>Evy 說衣服標籤常在脖子後面讓你感到 Itchy (會癢不舒服)，那你可以直接把它 Cut it off (剪掉)。如果別人給你的標籤你要把它剪掉，因為你是改善進步的。</strong></p><hr><p><strong>【結語：真正的生存意義】 感謝大家收聽 English Angel 在師大。Evy 說，生命的終點我們只問："Did I live?"
