   1. Sangkuriang (Read) The story above tells about the legend of Tangkuban Prau. Once upon a time there lived a woman and her son and his pet dog, the woman was named Dayang Sumbi, the son was named Sangkuriang, and his dog was named Si Tumang. The story begins when Dayang Sumbi told her son, Sangkuriang, to hunt deer with his dog, Si Tumang, into the forest. but apparently Sangkuriang did not get one. For fear that his mother would feel disappointed, Sangkuriang decided to kill Si Tumang and bring Si Tumang's heart to his mother. Dayang Sumbi was angry when she found out that the heart she ate belonged to their pet Si Tumang, because of that anger Dayang Sumbi kicked Sangkuriang out of his house. a few years later Dayang Sumbi was reunited with an adult Sangkuriang. Sangkuriang fell in love with Dayang Sumbi and proposed to her, but because Dayang Sumbi knew that it was his son, he refused the proposal. but Sangkuriang remained steadfast in his proposal, thus making Dayang Sumbi think hard, so Dayang Sumbi gave Sangkuriang a condition to build a big ship on a dam in one night. Sangkuriang agreed to this, seeing Sangkuriang's persistence made Dayang Sumbi anxious, so she tried to thwart Sangkuriang's efforts. Dayang Sumbi's efforts were successful and Sangkuriang failed to finish his work on time, because of that Sangkuriang got angry and kicked the boat he made, so that until now it is known as Mount Tangkuban Prau. 2. The origin of Surabaya (Whatch) The story above tells the origin of the name of the city of Surabaya. It is said that once upon a time there was a crocodile that lived in a river, the crocodile was named Baya, and in another place, namely in the sea, lived a large wild shark named Sura. Sura and Baya initially lived peacefully in their respective territories, Baya on the river and Sura on the sea. it all started with Sura who came to the river because he was bored with his food in the sea, namely fish, roamed the river to find new food, and finally found new prey, namely deer around the river. Baya did not realize this, but until one day Baya felt suspicious because the prey for food was decreasing, until she found out that it turned out that a shark had passed through its territory and took its prey, until finally there was an argument between Sura and Baya, both of them strong, no one lost or won, they were both exhausted from the long battle, so Sura decided to make a rule that their boundaries were up to the end of the river or the boundary of the river and sea, Baya agreed, and Sura left the river. months after that it was true, the rules were carried out, but Sura who was at sea was bored with his food again, until he was determined to go to the river to hunt deer and monkeys again, luck was on Sura's side because Baya didn't realize, but increasingly baya became suspicious, because there was a case like the one at the beginning, so he tried to trap Sura with a deer on the bank of the river that he had bitten to lure Sura. and it was true that Sura acted again, after that baya attacked sura, and there was a second battle between Sura and Baya. they fought with all their might, until in the end Baya bit Sura's tail and vice versa, but it turned out that Baya's strength was greater, causing Sura's tail to be severed and resulting in Sura's defeat. Sura admitted defeat and left the river with a pain in his tail. therefore now the place is named Surabaya.

Journal week 12 || Speaking with Friend

dialog teks Hello, how are you ? fine, how about you? i’m fine too. By the way, I went to buy snacks and saw a lot of people who weren't wearing masks even though Covid-19 was still rampant even though the number had decreased. I also see a lot of people who do not wear a mask, especially my mother who sells it and many visitors who almost all don't wear masks. I'm worried about my brother because he's still young and my mother has to serve customers, so she has to interact with people. Yes, you are right, why is everyone starting to ignore the health protocols that apply? I don't know either. Could it be because the number has decreased and there is also a vaccine, so people think that they won't get Covid again. probably like what you said. but should they still comply with health protocols or not? I'm afraid because the euphoria of Covid is reduced and the vaccine is actually bringing a further wave of covid in the future because now people have started to ignore health protocols I agree with you, but I and my family still adhere to the protocol so that Covid is finished quickly. My family and I are like that too, especially now that we are in college, we want to go offline and not be online anymore, we want to meet friends and see the campus atmosphere. Me too, i want to experience what life is like in college. I hope covid will be over soon so we can both go to Semarang Yes, hopefully, I can't wait to go to Semarang me too.

Journal Week 2 || English Assignment Read English Article

HEALTHY STUDENTS – HEALTHY NATION Dr. Sulieman N. Al-Shehri, PhD Additional article information The relationship between academic achievement and the status of student health is acknowledged by the National Education Policy and Goals of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Among its directives are the following: (1) Students are to start school with healthy minds, bodies and mental alertness necessary for learning. (2) There should be safe and disciplined school environment to ensure a physical and psychological well being of students. (3) An opportunity for all students to acquire healthy life skills and health education. (4) The maintenance of the development and the growth of the students “psychosocially, mentally and physically” in the school set-up, should be in circumstances similar to the home situation governed by Islamic teachings. (5) Free health care (preventive and curative) should be provided to all students. Today's children are the citizens of tomorrow's nation. Their survival, protection and development are, therefore, the prerequisite for the future development of this country. Empowerment of the younger generation with knowledge and resources to meet their basic human needs and enable them to grow to their full potential should be a primary goal of national development. As their individual development and social contribution will shape the future of the country, investment in children's health, nutrition and education is the vital foundation for national development. It is evident that good health improves learning potentials, so for students to be able to attend school regularly and take full advantage of opportunities provided by schools, they must be in a state of health that enables them to do so. Also, the improvement of the ability to learn and the performance at school requires school-based effort to improve health. However, it is also obvious that schooling improves health. The impact of schooling is evident in the benefits to maternal and child health by the marked reduction of mortality among young women who had had some schooling. In 1993, the World Bank and WHO made a comparison of the cost effectiveness of various public health programmes and concluded that a school health programme that provided safe and low cost health services, such as deworming treatments, and health education was one of the most cost-effective investments a nation could make to improve health. Programmes to expand immunization and micronutrient supplementation, increase knowledge about nutrition, and health care, reduce the consumption of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs, and prevent AIDS and STDs are of great value and were listed among the most cost-effective investments in health. Clearly school health plays a major role in these programmes. Consequently, investment in school health programmes is perhaps the “very best of the best”. Although schools have the potential to improve health through education, all too often, they do not take advantage of, nor utilize that capacity. Indeed, many schools in diverse ways put the health of the students and school personnel at risk. These dangers could be eliminated altogether or reduced with better resources. The goals “Health for All” and “Education for All” express The United Nations’ commitment to health and education. Because these goals are inseparably linked and must be worked at concurrently for their realization, much cooperative and concerted effort are required from health and education organizations at all levels. The impetus for action resides with individuals. Both young and old can play a vital role in supporting school health by asking and trying to resolve questions such as these: Does our school promote health? Is our school a healthy environment for work? Does our school help students, school personnel and their families address their health needs? What can I do both personally and with others to bring about the needed change? Schools can serve as a means for
