The launch of the third annual Civic Leadership Academy;
● An update on the fire station project and the very early exploration of a potential opportunity
to purchase an existing parcel with an already constructed building.
● The search for members of the newly formed Middlesex and Westford Rd Strategic Visioning
Committee;
● Updates on MassWorks grants from both FY23 as well as a new application;
● A budget update based on the recently signed Commonwealth of MA yearly budget;
● Reminders on upcoming events including Party by the Bridge, Library events, and the FSBC
feedback survey and listening sessions;
● Updates on the Sandbar/former FLeur de Lis license situation following a meeting with residents
from the neighborhood last week, and;
● An update on the Winslow School document scanning services project.

Episode 29: Why Tyngsborough Needs a New Fire Station
Tyngsborough Fire Chief Wes Russell and Select Board member Adele Coughlin discuss why the town is asking voters to consider a new fire station at the former Winslow School site.
The conversation explains the operational limits of the current fire station, health and safety concerns for firefighters, why renovation was studied but not recommended, and how the proposed 19,000 square foot design was developed.
The current estimated project cost is $24 million, including construction, design, and project management. Residents will vote at Annual Town Meeting on May 5, with a ballot vote to follow on May 19.
