The quiet version of Enthusiastic Rest is for people who want a softer listening experience without fiddling with any volume settings on their device.
Tonight, I ramble about one of my niche fields of knowledge: cyberpunk, and especially cyberpunk derivatives nobody's ever heard of. Featured in this episode:
A not-so-brief possibly-apocryphal history of noir, cyberpunk, and punk music itself
So is your cyberpunk cyberpunk, post-cyberpunk, or cyberpunk (again)?
Why steampunk feels so different from cyberpunk
How we could have had so much more than vaporwave Spongebob
Why hope is radical, but cannot be an entire politic
And more!

Tabletop Roleplaying Games (Quiet Version)
The quiet version of Enthusiastic Rest is for people who want a softer listening experience without fiddling with any volume settings on their device.
Tonight, I ramble about the many tabletop roleplaying games I've played, or at least have enough experience with to confidently just start talking. Featured in this episode:
Lukewarm takes about why D&D is bad
Seriously I go on about why I don't like D&D and its peers so much
My bias towards Powered by the Apocalypse games
A sampling of niche games you probably haven't heard of
Me accidentally thinking Shut Up & Sit Down's videos on Spire: The City Must Fall and Heart: The City Beneath were made by People Make Games
And more!
