La transmutación de la tragedia
<p>Nos está tocando vivir uno de los episodios más tristes que ha sufrido la humanidad en su historia, el cual nos ha hecho reflexionar en extremo sobre el sentido de la vida, haciéndonos reconocer nuestros excesos y falta de empatía, toda vez que no somos conscientes de nuestra fragilidad como especie. Como decía Homero: “Son los dioses quienes mandan desventuras a los hombres para que las futuras generaciones tengan algo que cantar”, y este ejemplo es sin duda la mayor epopeya jamás escrita, porque no se basa en relatos inventados ni de fantasía: la estamos viviendo. Y así como experimentamos la desgracia colectiva, es natural también que cada uno de nosotros se tenga que alzar en armas en un conflicto contra uno mismo, con nuestras desventuras y demonios atormentadores que convierten este viaje por la vida en una titánica proeza, donde el verdadero enemigo habita en nuestro interior y se alimenta de nuestras experiencias negativas, creciendo raudamente, a menos que nuestro coraje ponga freno a su desarrollo.</p>

<p>Esta historia ocurrió hace mucho tiempo en una tierra muy lejana: dos reyes sufren por la infidelidad de sus esposas y organizan una terrible venganza en contra de todas las mujeres del reino. El mayor de ellos, Schariar, planeó casarse todos los días y por la noche dar muerte a su nueva cónyuge. Pero en un arranque de osadía y genialidad, la hija del Visir, llamada Sherezade, quien se ofreció voluntariamente a casarse con él, ideó un elaborado plan con la finalidad de disuadir las macabras intensiones del Sultán. Es de esta manera que nace una de las obras más fantásticas y que ha servido de inspiración a muchas generaciones de escritores: “Las mil y una noches”.</p>
