   Why Do Catholics Baptize Babies?

You can read the article, comment, and find all the links over on EpiCatholic.com (https://epicatholic.substack.com/p/why-do-catholics-baptize-babies). 0:28 The Short Answer Catholics baptize babies because they need salvation, too! We believe that Baptism is necessary for salvation—it’s how we join the family of God—and the graces the sacrament imparts will help a child grow in faith and grace as they get older. 0:46 The Long Answer 3:50 Objections 6:50 Final Thoughts 7:23 Learn More: Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma, Ludwig Ott (pg. 357 (https://archive.org/details/fundamentalsofca0000ottl/page/356/mode/2up) onwards) Catechism of the Catholic Church, paragraphs 1250-1252 (https://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__P3K.HTM). Happy End of the World

Luke 21:25-28, 34-36; 1st Sunday of Advent Jesus said to his disciples: “There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on earth nations will be in dismay, perplexed by the roaring of the sea and the waves. People will die of fright in anticipation of what is coming upon the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. But when these signs begin to happen, stand erect and raise your heads because your redemption is at hand. “Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, and that day catch you by surprise like a trap. For that day will assault everyone who lives on the face of the earth. Be vigilant at all times and pray that you have the strength to escape the tribulations that are imminent and to stand before the Son of Man.” Get ready, and get excited. This is a public episode. Why Do Catholics Pray to Saints?

You can read the article, comment, and find all the links over on EpiCatholic.com (https://epicatholic.substack.com/p/why-do-catholics-pray-to-saints). Episode Outline 0:23 The Short AnswerCatholics make a distinction between worship and prayer. We do not worship the saints; worship is for God alone. When we pray to saints, we’re simply asking them to pray for us. We ask our friends here on earth to pray for us. Why not ask our friends in the presence of God in heaven, part of our family as the Body of Christ? 0:55 The Long Answer 4:10 Objections 4:12 It's unnecessary 5:33 Jesus is our one mediator 9:03 The Bible condemns necromancy 10:46 Final Thoughts 11:26 Learn More Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma, Ludwig Ott (pg. 316 (https://archive.org/details/fundamentalsofca0000ottl/page/316/mode/2up) speaks about this topic).
