We as believers are sent, opposed and empowered. In Cyprus we learn this through Paul and Barnabas. God often uses us where we are in life, our "familiarity" to further the gospel. Just because we may work a 9-5 job, does not mean we're not called to ministry. Every believer is called to be a minister of Christ. God can use where we are to reach souls and be a light in dark places. It is just a matter of answering His call..

Acts 13:1-3
This week we're reminded of the importance of hearing God's voice for ourselves. Not putting limits but listening and obeying when Holy Spirit speaks. Despite your age, demographic, social-status; God calls any and everybody to hear His words. Christ didn't die for a select few but for every one, that they might be called a child of God, and that His voice would reign supreme in your life.

This week we discuss an unpopular topic in the church: Pride. Reading of Herod's acceptance of the people's worship led to his death.
When we hear of pride what goes through our heads? In reality pride is one of those sins that exposes itself in many ways. Living life without God's leadership, thinking we can do it on our own, the need of recognition in your work place or ministry. Or it can make you afraid of being overlooked in areas of your life.
Humility is what we're called to practice and live out in our walk with Christ. To think of others above ourselves, no matter how insignificant we might think they are.
