Atualmente, está claro que a epicondilite lateral é uma afecção degenerativa que compromete os tendões extensores originários do epicôndilo lateral. Tenistas, carpinteiros, pintores e manicures podem sofrer dessa patologia. 📍Os sintomas podem gerar dor local e fraqueza dos músculos extensores do antebraço. No entanto, vale enfatizar que atividades repetitivas com o braço podem ser a principal causa da epicondilite. 📍O tratamento fisioterapêutico da epicondilite lateral, baseia-se no alívio da dor e repouso, analgesia, ganho de alongamento da musculatura envolvida e ganho de força da musculatura envolvida. 📍Algumas medidas preventivas poderão ajudar nessa patologia, o apoio completo do antebraço na mesa e o uso de apoios para teclado e mouse são recomendados, pausas periódicas durante essas atividades, associadas a alongamentos, são métodos úteis tanto para a prevenção quanto para o tratamento. 📍O alongamento pode ser feito entre o intervalo das pausas no trabalho e em casa. 📍O fortalecimento pode ser feito em conjunto com os alongamentos. Elásticos podem ajudar no fortalecimento.
