About wrong images in horsesports and a meeting in Paris 3/2
My today's episodes guest initially founded the Collectif pour les chevaux in France and she invited me to attend a meeting of this group in Paris in the end of april 2024. She's a vet from Belgium and her name is Eva van Avermaet.
Do you know the Collectif Pour les chevaux? This name is french and it means collective for the horses.
It is the name of a french group of people that tries to end the use of LDR, low, deep and round in horse boards.
In the end of April, the group met in Paris and I was invited.
What did we do there?
We traveled together to the international FEI dressage competition in Fontainebleau, and we didn't just go there on impulse, but were registered as a group that wanted to see how the horses were ridden in the warm up arena.
Before the competitions, we saw riders from the Netherlands, Switzerland, England and France.
There were no german riders there, at the horses and dreams competition in Hagen were taking place at the same time.
After the competition, the meeting also had a clinic part where we could listen a whole day long to experts from all over the world who spoke about what is going wrong and how to change it.
My name is Agnes Trosse and you listen to the Equi-Liberation podcast.
Normally, you are used to listen to this podcast in German, but today I have an international guest and therefore we register this show in English.
I try to find a solution for those who don't understand enough English to follow this episode and will inform you in the show notes how to proceed.
