Wenn ich das damals schon gewusst hätte
Manchmal bringt uns das Leben genau im richtigen Moment wieder mit einem Pferd zusammen. In meinem Urlaub hatte ich das unglaubliche Glück, eines meiner früheren Trainingspferde wiederzusehen. Ein Pferd, das mich viele Jahre begleitet hat und bei dem ich heute manches anders machen würde. Nicht, weil damals alles falsch war, sondern weil ich heute mehr weiß, genauer hinschaue und Pferde anders verstehe. Diese Begegnung hat mich darüber nachdenken lassen, wie sich Beziehungen zwischen Menschen und Pferden entwickeln. Was bleibt nach vielen Jahren? Was bedeutet Bindung wirklich? Und können wir eine Verbindung wieder aufnehmen, auch wenn viel Zeit vergangen ist? In dieser sommerlichen Podcastfolge geht es um zweite Chancen, um Verantwortung und um den schmerzhaften Gedanken: Wenn ich das damals schon gewusst hätte, hätte ich meinem Pferd vielleicht einiges ersparen können. Aber es geht auch darum, dass Entwicklung immer rückwärts betrachtet ungerecht wirkt. Wir treffen Entscheidungen mit dem Wissen, das uns in diesem Moment zur Verfügung steht. Entscheidend ist nicht, dass wir früher alles richtig gemacht haben. Entscheidend ist, ob wir bereit sind, heute genauer hinzusehen und unser Handeln zu verändern. Denn unsere Pferde brauchen keine perfekten Menschen. Sie brauchen Menschen, die lernen, Verantwortung übernehmen und bereit sind, Beziehung immer wieder neu entstehen zu lassen. Eine persönliche Sommerfolge über Wiedersehen, Erinnerung, Dankbarkeit und die Frage, was wir aus unserer gemeinsamen Geschichte mit unseren Pferden machen. Pferdetraining neu denken. Evidenzbasiert, individuell und mit echtem Blick für das Pferd, das vor uns steht.

Ist das noch Reitkunst?
In dieser Episode spreche ich über die Verbindung von traditioneller Reitkunst und moderner Wissenschaft – und warum ich glaube, dass beides kein Widerspruch sein muss. Wir werfen gemeinsam einen Blick darauf, wie sich unser Verständnis von Pferdeausbildung in den letzten Jahren verändert hat und weshalb funktionales Denken, Bewegungswissenschaft und evidenzbasierte Erkenntnisse heute eine immer größere Rolle spielen. Dabei geht es nicht darum, bewährte Traditionen zu ersetzen, sondern sie kritisch zu hinterfragen und dort weiterzuentwickeln, wo neue Erkenntnisse uns helfen, Pferde besser zu verstehen. Ich spreche darüber, warum Reitweise und Trainingsplanung nicht dasselbe sind, weshalb funktionelle Ganganalyse eine zentrale Grundlage jeder Ausbildung sein sollte und warum wir den Blick stärker auf das individuelle Pferd richten müssen, statt an starren Modellen festzuhalten. Denn mein Ziel ist es nicht, eine bestimmte Reitweise zu propagieren – sondern Pferde so auszubilden, dass sie langfristig gesund, leistungsfähig und mit Freude in Bewegung bleiben.
