Aflevering 3: Toch geen feestje
<p>Het gaat mis in Haren. De politie slaagt er maar moeilijk in om de relschoppende groep onder controle te krijgen. 10 jaar later spreken we mensen die tijdens de heftigste fase van de rellen vooraan stonden. Bijvoorbeeld Thomas. Hij werd veroordeeld nadat hij betrokken was bij het plunderen van een Albert Heijn. Of Jacco Smit, ondernemer. Hij zat gewapend met een ijzeren staaf die hele nacht klaar om zijn winkel desnoods met geweld te verdedigen. </p>

<p>Het is nog steeds vrijdag 21 september. Aan het begin van de dag zien bewoners van Haren het steeds drukker worden. Er blijken daadwerkelijk honderden mensen op het feest af te komen. Later die dag zullen het duizenden zijn. De sfeer is in het begin gemoedelijk, maar het slaat om als het donker begint te worden. Door de ogen van getuigen gaan we terug naar het moment dat het feestje geen feestje meer was.</p>
