2020 wurde Hendrik Pekeler zu Deutschlands Handballer des Jahres gewählt. Einer, den du in deiner Mannschaft haben willst. Im vergangenen Sommer stand seine Karriere nach zwei Achillessehnenrissen auf der Kippe. Nach seinem Comeback im Dezember startet er mit dem THW wieder voll durch: Auswärtssieg bei den RN Löwen, Heimsieg gegen den SC Magdeburg, Derbysieg in Flensburg - und das alles innerhalb einer Woche. "Peke" spricht über Dummheiten zu Anfang seiner Profikarriere, das Sieger-Gen beim THW Kiel und bekommt von Schwalbe eine klare Jobempfehlung.

Mit EM-Newcomer Tom Kiesler haben wir nicht nur einen neuen Abwehrchef für unsere ERSTE 7 gefunden, sondern haben gleichzeitig auch ordentlich Glanz in die Bude bekommen. Mit seiner Silbermedaille, die ihm im übertragenen Sinne um den Hals hängt. Für Andy Wolff ist er ein absolutes "Monster". Eine Abwehrmaschine, vor der man als Offensivspieler keine Angst, aber ausreichend Respekt haben sollte. Wir sprechen über seine Leidenschaft als Jäger, wie es dazu kam, dass er bei den Spielen gegen Frankreich und Kroatien nur zuschauen durfte und warum für ihn das EM-Finale gegen Dänemark schon nach 15 Minuten zu Ende war.
