<p>Welcome back to the third episode of ESCAP on air.</p> <p>At ESCAP in Copenhagen 2023, we invited two leading researchers in functional disorders, Judith Rosmalen and Karen Kallesøe, for a conversation about their area of expertise. Judith is a professor in psychosomatic illnesses at the University of Groningen, and Karen is a doctor working in the functional team and research section at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Aarhus.</p> <p>The interview is divided into two chapters. For this episode we interviewed Professor Christoph Correll and Professor Anne Katrine Pagsberg about the current leading hypetheses explaining schizophrenia as well as the frontiers of treatment. For the first time in several decades, we are getting close to a pharmaceutical alternative to postsynaptic dopamin blockade and we are introduced to these new pharmaceuticals.</p> <p> Professor Christoph Correll is affiliated with Charité University in Berlin and is among the top 1% most cited researchers in psychiatry worldwide across various fields.
