Das Parlament der Frauen (#12)
<p>Im Europäischen Parlament war die Frage der Gleichstellung sehr früh ein wichtiges politisches Thema. Über die ersten Generationen von Frauen, die dies mit durchgesetzt haben, wird allerdings selten gesprochen. In dieser Folge sprechen Judith Ecker und Sylvia-Yvonne Kaufmann über die »Mütter Europas«.</p> <p>Ecker arbeitet seit 1994 für das Europäische Parlament, seit 2018 im Bereich Weiterbildung. Sie hat in den letzten Jahren Nachforschungen betrieben über die frühen weiblichen Abgeordneten und deren Einfluss auf die europäische Integration und die Gesellschaft in ihren Ländern.<br /> Kaufmann zog erstmals 1991 als Beobachterin ins Europäische Parlament ein. Es folgten mehrere Legislaturperioden, zeitweilig bekleidete sie die Funktion einer Vizepräsidentin des EU-Parlaments. <p>Carola Rackete und Sebastian Everding gehören seit Juni 2024 dem Europaparlament an und sind Mitgleider der Fraktion THE LEFT. Sie arbeiten unter anderem in den Ausschüssen für Landwirtschaft und ländliche Entwicklung sowie für Umwelt, Klima und Lebensmittelsicherheit.
