i got fired
being an immigrant daughter, I never thought I’d have to tell my parents I got fired.
with all the sacrifices they’ve made, the unspoken pressure to succeed feels overwhelming. so, sitting there, telling them I lost my job felt like I was letting them down in the worst way.
