When Life Falls Apart: How to Keep Moving Forward Without Suppressing Your Grief

When life gets hard, most people do one of two things: suppress the pain and push through, or put their dreams on hold until they feel "ready." The problem? Both keep you stuck.

In this episode, I share the "yes and" approach; a mindset that lets you grieve and keep moving toward your vision at the same time. I talk about why burying your emotions never works, how Napoleon Hill's principle of finding the seed of benefit in every adversity can bring genuine peace, and how to take baby steps toward your dreams even on your hardest days.

You don't have to have it all together to move forward. You just have to be willing to hold the possibility that what's on the other side of this could be better than what you're leaving behind.

In this episode:

Why "I'll pursue my dream once I've healed" is a trap

The difference between suppressing emotions and transforming them

How to ask better questions when life feels soul-crushing

Grace, capacity, and keeping momentum through grief

Ready to stop waiting and start moving toward the life you want? The Science of Joy: How to Escape the Worry Loop and Access Your Brain's Joy Center | Pete Sanders

What's actually happening in your brain when you're stuck in a worry loop...and what can you do about it in seconds?

In this episode, I'm joined by Pete Sanders, MIT honors graduate, former naval officer, and 56-year pioneer in mind-body-spirit science. Pete is the founder of Free Soul, a nonprofit education foundation in Sedona, Arizona, and the author of Access Your Brain's Joy Center and You Are Psychic. He has spent his career doing something rare: grounding spiritual wisdom in hard neuroscience so it's practical, accessible, and usable in your real life and business.

In this conversation, we explore:

Why most of us are operating from limbic brain; the survival and stress center; and why that's not a character flaw, it's physiology

The Joy Center (septum pellucidum) and how to activate your brain's mood elevation fibers in seconds without medication or surgery

Pete's live demonstration of the inner smile technique; something you can feel immediately

"Make life a quest, not a test"; and why the language we use about our lives shapes everything

"Look down, think up"; how to stay grounded in your day-to-day while keeping your thinking connected to your vision

Why Pete doesn't believe in ESP, but fully believes in HSP (higher sensory perception); and how tapping it makes you a better decision-maker

The mind-blowing fact: there are more possible pathways in the human nervous system than there are atoms in the entire known universe

This episode is for anyone who has ever felt stuck in a loop they couldn't think their way out of; and is ready to do life and business from a place of joy instead of struggle.

Resources mentioned:

Access Your Brain's Joy Center by Pete Sanders โ freesoul.net

You Are Psychic by Pete Sanders (available anywhere books are sold or on Audible)

Free Soul Foundation: https://freesoul.net

Connect with Stacey:

Website: staceyberger.ca

If this episode resonated with you, please subscribe, leave a review, and share it with someone who needs to hear it.

You're Not Lazy: The Real Reason You're Procrastinating

Have you ever found yourself putting off the very thing that could move your business, goals, or life forward?

For years, I thought procrastination was simply about discipline, motivation, or getting organized. What I've discovered through my own journey and coaching hundreds of entrepreneurs is that procrastination is often something much deeper: fear.

In this episode, I'm sharing why procrastination isn't usually a sign that you're lazy. More often, it's a sign that you're standing on the edge of growth. When we're about to do something new, take a risk, put ourselves out there, or step beyond our comfort zone, our brains naturally try to keep us safe. And one of the ways that shows up is through procrastination.

I'll walk you through how fear disguises itself as productivity, why perfectionism can keep us stuck, and how to identify the real action steps that will move your vision forward.

In this episode, I share:

Why procrastination is often a fear response rather than a motivation problem

How perfectionism disguises itself as practicality

The hidden fears of judgment, rejection, and failure that keep us stuck

How to identify the needle-moving activities in your business and life

Why confidence is built through action; not before it

If you've been waiting until you feel ready, until everything is perfect, or until you have more certainty, this episode is for you.

I invite you to listen with an open mind and ask yourself one simple question:

What's the one action I've been avoiding that could move my vision forward today?

Here's to taking brave action, trusting yourself, and creating a life you love. ๐
