Destination Greater Victoria has proudly served as our region's official, not-for-profit destination marketing and management organization for half a century. As we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2024, we continue to work hand-in-hand with nearly 1,000 businesses and municipalities in Greater Victoria to promote, enhance, and manage our vibrant destination. The tourism board, now known as Destination Greater Victoria (DGV) has supported the visitor economy for 50 years. We are opening the history books and learn how DGV came to be, understand what spurred progress in the visitor economy over time, and envision the next 50 years of tourism in the region.

Advocacy | Every Visitor Counts
The Hawaii Martin Mars Water Bomber is an icon of British Columbia’s aviation history. With the advocacy and support from Destination Greater Victoria, the aircraft has landed a permanent spot at the BC Aviation Museum in North Saanich – an attraction on Greater Victoria’s Saanich peninsula that attracts some 20,000 guests a year.
